Feasibility assessment 
A detailed site assessment is always required before the tidal power array can be planned. Important parameters are water depth, current velocity, bathymetry, profile and flow directions, wave and turbulence impact, grid connection, and environmental aspects. Assessments are undertaken between the customer, ANDRITZ HYDRO Hammerfest and any required third party, defining the basic parameters for the future project including, for example, layout and cost evaluation

Service and maintenance
ANDRITZ HYDRO Hammerfest offers comprehensive and tailor-made service and maintenance programs for its products. The turbines incorporate a condition monitoring system to provide a predictive maintenance capability. This avoids costly unplanned repair activities and potentially extends the planned maintenance intervals beyond that predicted. ANDRITZ HYDRO Hammerfest’s global structure and organization, as well as international partnerships enable to undertake service and maintenance activities in close proximity to the sites, minimizing not only the potential downtime periods, but also associated costs.
Our Products
HS1000: 
- It is a 1000kW tidal turbine, capable of working in a depth between 35-100 meters with a production cap. over 3,1 GW per year, operating on a nominal speed of 5-10 rpm. The turbine height is 32,5 meters and rotor diameter of 21 meters. The rotor type consist on 3 open bladed with a swept area of 300-500m2. Use a induction generator with a nominal output of 500-2000kW. The weight of the nacelle is approximately 130t, the substructure around 150t and the installation is made with a heavy lift vessel/barge(with ROV support) The turbine lifetime is 25 years with service maintain every 5 years.
MK1 turbine:
- It is a 1500kW tidal turbine, capable of working in a depth of 35-100 meters operating on a nominal speed of 5-15 rpm. The turbine height is 35 meters with a rotor diameter of 18-26 meters. The rotor type consist on 3 open bladed . Use a induction generator with a nominal output or 1000-1500kW. The weight of the nacelle is approximately 130t, the substructure around 150t and the installation is made with a heavy lift vessel/barge(with ROV support) The turbine lifetime is 25 years with service maintain every 5 years.
